The Anticommunism Action Team [ACAT] is an independent, unaffiliated grassroots group of concerned citizens.

Our mission is to discredit communist ideology and counter communist influence here and abroad.

This site was inspired by Mary Howitt's 1828 poem The Spider and the Fly.
"The poem is a cautionary tale against those who use flattery and charm to disguise their true evil intentions." (Wikipedia)

The poem begins -
  • “Will you walk into my parlour?” said the Spider to the Fly,
'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy....

The spider eventually seduces the fly and the poem ends -
  • And now dear little children, who may this story read.
To idle, silly flattering words, I pray you ne'er give heed:
Unto an evil counsellor, close heart and ear and eye,
And take a lesson from this tale, of the Spider and the Fly.
