Promises, Promises: How the Communists Betrayed the Cuban People
- commissioned by ACAT
Fidel Castro did not just lie when he said he was not a communist, he BETRAYED the Cuban people and their trust. This documentary pulls no punches in vividly portraying how this is so: The people were promised education, but got political indoctrination and forced labor instead. They were promised free healthcare but, as stunning secret footage from inside Cuba’s medical system today shows, they got bring-your-own-medicine neglect in truly disgusting surroundings. Instead of freedom - mass executions, controlled movement, and surveillance. Instead of equality - tourist-only hospitals, shops, and beaches. Bullet by bullet, and through a cruel chain of promises and lies, the communists turned this once-prosperous island nation into hell-on-earth for its people, perpetrating one of the greatest betrayals the world has ever seen.

Postcards from Utopia
The early socialists believed socialism would turn the oceans into lemonade. Their intellectual descendants don’t care if everyone else has to chomp on lemons as long as their tiny socialist clique has wealth and power for themselves and total control over everyone else. Watch the slide show and witness with your own eyes the truth of what socialism has wrought in the formerly prosperous country of Cuba.

Che Guevara: Castro’s Executioner
People with a romanticized view of Che Guevara generally don’t know how much blood he had on his hands. In a letter to his father, Che wrote, “I really like killing.” Elsewhere, he proclaimed, “A revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate.” A cold killing machine is exactly what he became, in service to Fidel Castro’s communist revolution. The video clip below chronicles the executions Che performed by his own hand while fighting in the jungle before the communists took power. The documentary from which the clip is taken goes on to describe the executions Che oversaw for Castro while warden of the regime’s notorious La Cabaña prison. The documentary – Che: The Other Side of an Icon (produced by Agustin Blazquez) – is available at CubaCollectibles.com.
More on Che’s bloodlust here – “remember the real Che and the blood on his hands if you’re ever tempted to wear a t-shirt in his honor. The only thing you will really be displaying is your ignorance.”
